Time to dive deep, we may even need to go to hell and back.
I don’t want to scare you.
Think how much treasure you bring back from the most hellish times in your life…they are transformative indeed.
Our theme this month if you haven’t already guessed is the controversial Pluto.

Hades
Let us start with the myth, Pluto was the Roman God of the underworld, who was pretty much an appropriated from the Greek god of the underworld Hades.
After overthrowing their Titan father Chronos (Saturn).
Hades and his brothers Poseidon (Neptune) and Zeus (Jupiter) decided to split the rulership of the world and each rule a part. Poseidon took the sea, Zeus the sky and Hades the underworld.
Though Hades rules the underworld he is not the god of death.
He preferred not to venture to Mt Olympus unless necessary, loving his home in the underworld.
Hades has access to precious metals and gems which are found deep in the earth. He became known as the god of wealth…including the wealth of rich and nutritious soil.
There are many stories and myths in which Hades appears, and it seems that even though he was as power hungry as his brothers, and he definitely was dark and intense in personality, he was not an evil god.
When people turned up for help, he would often give them the opportunity to get what they desired, but only if they proved themselves worthy.
For example, in the myth of Persephone.
He fell madly in love with the daughter of Demeter (Ceres) and Zeus (yes, that would make her Hades’ niece…mythology gets quite incestuous).
She was abducted by Hades, with the knowledge of her father, but not her mother.
Okay, you are thinking how is this proving him to be a misunderstood god for the better?
Well Persephone was treated like a queen and learned to love him.
When given the choice to return to her mother she wanted to stay with Hades.
But, as Demeter was neglecting her duties of the land and harvests, due to her grief, Zeus decided humanity would perish if something was not done.
Hades agreed to share Persephone with Demeter.
Showing him to be fair and able to compromise.
More to this myth but we don’t want to deviate too far.
Hades also had a pet three headed dog called Cerberus, who guarded the gates to the underworld.
When Heracles had the courage to ask Hades directly if he could fulfil the last of his twelve Labors by taking Cerberus to Mt Olympus, Hades rewarded his bravery by agreeing.
On the condition that he could not hurt Cerberus.
Heracles fulfilled his task and even returned the hound of Hades to the underworld.
For me this proves that dark does not equal evil.
He has much shadow energy to be sure, but when visiting him, if your heart is true, you could come back with untold treasure.
On a side note, not all lands in the Underworld were bad. It was only the evil souls that went to Tartarus, the part of the Underworld we may look at as hell.
Harnessing Pluto…
In astrology, Pluto has an interesting history.
Part of this is in his classification from Planet to dwarf planet or even his elliptical orbit being more like an asteroid or a comet.
Before the invention of the telescope, we did not know of Pluto’s existence.
He has only been part of our astrological understanding since his discovery on the 18th of Feb 1930.
We call Pluto a generational planet because he has an extremely slow and elliptical orbit taking anything from 13 – 30 years to cycle through a sign.
Its full orbit is just under 250 years!
Side note: The USA will be having a Pluto return starting early next year if we look at their birth chart dated 4 July 1776
Pluto is the modern ruler the sign of Scorpio and loves to be in Aries or even Leo
He is less comfortable in Taurus, Libra and Aquarius.
Pluto is a very karmic and often challenging part of our natal chart, and Pluto transits can take a few years (remember he moves SLOWLY) and be powerfully transformative.
A transit is when Pluto as he is transiting now goes over a planet or point in your natal chart.
These are the processes it is best not to fight…we need to go gently into that good night.
Pluto can be ruthless, fanatical, obsessive, controlling, manipulative and downright traumatic.
This is the kind of relationship none of us want to get trapped in.
However, this type of relationship offers us the kind of psychological insight and depth that gives us the choice to die.
To kill off the septic, rotting parts of our life and to make way for a rebirth…new life was always there, waiting for you.
Pluto makes the big, scary, and traumatic suddenly small and insignificant.
Pluto takes the small seemingly insignificant and blows it up for us to see more clearly.
Pluto reminds you that you are not as powerful as you think, bringing you down a peg or 2 million.
Pluto shows you that you have the POWER to grow far beyond what you ever expected.
It just depends on what it is you need to learn. What it is we generationally need to learn.
Spotlight Advice
Tuning in with Pluto
If you are resonating strongly with this Archetype, then I am going to give you a few suggestions.
Just to mention, these action steps are for the brave, if it seems too much, trust that. Pluto is Karmic.
This work is very rewarding, but it is also filled with challenge. A need to strip oneself bare and learn to accept all of you.
If on the other hand you are ready for the bright light of consciousness to travel with you on your journey, helping you to shine light into the shadows and expose what has been hidden from you, then here is how to get started.
It is also extremely helpful to have a guide or mentor when doing shadow work so please don’t hesitate to contact me or a coach/healer you already work with.
Action Steps
What is my Pluto Generation? This is not exact and if you want to work more fully with this transformative energy, you may need a natal chart. But I am going to list the generations and a bit of history.
Pluto in Leo between 1939 – 1958
While Pluto was in Leo the Women’s Liberation movement was getting started, women’s fashion was blowing up and the atom bomb was created.
Pluto in Virgo between 1959 – 1972
While Pluto was in Virgo the sexual revolution began…sex, free love, hight of baby boom and organ transplant became a thing.
Pluto in Libra between 1971 – 1984
While Pluto was in Libra the make peace not war came to play (Vietnam War ended). Many countries gained independence. The digital revolution began. This is my Pluto generation.
Pluto in Scorpio between 1984 – 1995
While Pluto was in Scorpio Apartheid ended in South Africa, the collapse of communism and the Soviet Union was dissolved. And the stock market crash of 87.
Pluto in Sagittarius between 1995 – 2008
While Pluto was in Sag the internet was born, accelerating technological and socioeconomic changes. September 11th rocked the world.
Pluto in Capricorn between 2008 -2024
While Pluto has been in Capricorn there has been major political climate change globally. Top-down power crumbling with the ‘me too’, ‘black lives matter’ and other such movements. Covid 19, breaking down the old order, for the new to be reborn.
Where is my Pluto? Where in my life is this power struggle or powerful transformation showing up?
It will be part of your lifelong journey, so best to know and understand I always feel.
This requires a knowledge of your chart to find the house in which Pluto resides natally.
How strongly does Pluto affect me? If you have no knowledge of your astrology but wish to make a start at tackling this question, I would use a journal prompt like,
What are the 3 most transformative experiences of my life to date?
How hard was it to change? How often do I get these challenging life changes?
However, if you want to understand your Pluto narrative a little better my Short Support this month will help you out.

Astrology Buzz
Scorpio Oct 23rd to Nov 22nd Scorpio season (like Pluto) demands depth and is powerfully transformative…don’t let that turn into destructive power plays though, if you can help it.
Remember how much treasure can be found in the depths of the earth if we just have the courage and grit to get our hands dirty and follow the process through to the end.
Sagittarius Nov 23rd to Dec 21st the highest expression of Scorpio is Phoenix, and the phoenix burns up to be reborn from the ashes.
Well Sag is that fire, wild, uninhibited, fun and fearless.
To be reborn out of the Scorpio season wiser, more philosophical, and spiritual than before.
New Moon:
November New Moon is on the 4th in the sign of Scorpio.

Full Moon
Eclipse season begins.
And this is the first eclipse in the Taurus/Scorpio axis.
Eclipses are super charged and extra potent.
It will be at 27 degrees Taurus so look where that falls in your chart.
November full moon is in Taurus on the 19th opposing the Sun in Scorpio
These are both fixed signs, which means they are slow to change and will fixate until a job is done.
Taurus is lazing in the field with the fragrant flowers, where Scorpio is digging up the stinky septic tank.
Physically look to support the neck, throat, sinuses, rectum, anus, sex organs.
Questions you may ask yourself in Taurus/Scorpio.
How can I find the balance between being enjoying all that is beautiful and nice vs doing the hard jobs, facing the shadows and the shit?
If you are Taurus dominant – Where am I avoiding hard conversations with stubborn refusal to budge?
If you are Scorpio dominant – Where am I so fixated on all that is wrong and toxic that I am forgetting to smell the roses and count my blessings?
If even one of these triggers you on some level, take the time to think about it, journal or meditate on it.
Use these tools mindfully and if you need extra support and guidance, I am available for consultations.
Crystal picks for November
Pluto Theme
Bismuth is typically obtained as a by-product in refining lead, copper, tin, silver, and gold ores found in Bolivia, Peru, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. It can be found independently of these other minerals too.
I love though how it is almost like the impurity that needs to be released.
But when you see it there are rainbows and amazing sacred geometric formations…the impurities born from trauma that on release transform into these amazing treasures.
How very Pluto.
Also, in keeping with the theme it works beautifully to support transformation in an alchemical and shamanic way…there is a dying of something for the new to be born.
Onyx is black and connects to the dark through its colour. Pluto being so far from the Sun is a dark energy.
This is a great stone to give us the stamina and grit needed for big change. Onyx imparts self-confidence, self-control and good decision making.
It offers powerful protection, strength and focus which we need for our Pluto journey.
Connecting us deeply to the earth, keeping us anchored, into the depths of the Underworld we might say. While we search for spiritual treasures.
Moldavite is another crystal not covered before. It is pricy, usually only comes in small, odd shapes pieces and is a green colour.
Moldavite is also finite as it is the result of the impact caused by a crashed meteorite about 15 million years ago.
This is a Plutonian pick as it is challenging to work with and is a mineral that will usually call to you if you are required to work with it.
Moldavite like Pluto comes with big change, sometimes even aggressive change so use it with caution.
It also has a very strong connection with beings from other planets, higher knowing and psychic downloads.
Disclaimer: crystals should not be used as cures but rather as support.
Whoop whoop, you can even book a crystal healing session from anywhere in the world via my website now.
Aromas of the month
Cedarwood and Cilantro are my pics for Pluto.
Cedarwood is a very woody smelling oil. When I first smelt it, I pulled away at the almost burnt wood aroma, it felt jarring and harsh.
My natural instinctual ‘run from the fire’ deep cellular memory being triggered.
Just as Pluto triggers our deep karma, the tough stuff.
I have learned to love this oil and now find it exceptionally supportive.
Usually, to soften or brighten it I use it in combination with other oils.
As a base note, it helps to anchor your blends, forcing your flighty citrus notes to sit still and look at what they are running from. Pressing those emotional florals to feel the less comfortable feelings, all while Cedar holds in its log cabin.
And if the time comes that the cabin needs to be burnt to the ground…from the ashes you will rise, wiser than before.
Physically it works as an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, sedative, insecticide, diuretic, astringent.
Cilantro is coriander, the difference with the oils being Cilantro is steam distilled from the leaves, whereas Coriander is from the seeds.
I have picked cilantro for Pluto because of its amazing support in heavy metal detox and its assistance in detoxifying organs like the liver and the kidneys.
This fresh, vibrant oil brings in much needed green energy for growth and rebirth, while simultaneously pushing out the old toxic issues.
Those heavy metals that are resistant to movement and change.
Emotionally it shifts us from obsessed and heavy into bright and expansive.
Uses and Blend suggestions:
Detox - For 7 days try oil pulling first thing in the morning with 1 drop on Cilantro to a tablespoon of coconut oil.
Link to oil pulling below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5PuQjVlsdw
You can add to that by taking 1 drop Cilantro in a veg cap 1 -3x daily for 3 days.
Drink lots of water.
If you notice a metallic taste in your mouth this is just the detoxing of heavy metals. If it has not cleared in 3 days continue for a few more days till the taste clears.
Diffuse the heavy energy - 5 drops Cedarwood, 4 drops Geranium and 6 drops of Wild Orange/Grapefruit/Tangerine (citrus of choice or a combo).
Let this supportive diffuser blend assist in diffusing the slow and heavy energies.
Let me know if you like these blends, recipes, and suggestions.
Note: How Fast do Essential oils work?
