Rainbow Wisdom Newsletter November 2020

How is it November already?

Funny how a year that feels like we have all been on hold still feels like it flew by, or is that just me?

Our theme this month is Scorpio

If you need a reminder about how this new astrological archetype theme works check out the last few newsletters in my blog.

Scorpio, The Surgeon

Scorpio is the 8th sign of the zodiac. It is a water sign which immediately takes us into the realm of emotion.

The scorpion is the most known and accepted symbol for this sign, but in fact there are a few other faces the Scorpio archetype can show.

The lower level of Scorpio is the Scorpion and the tail is known to have a sting.

Phase two in the development of this sign is the Serpent, who shows up when we begin to transform and heal.

If we are really doing well, we tap into the highest form of this sign the Eagle or the Phoenix.

If we reach this point our ability to heal ourselves and others is second to none.

Imagine a world where we all have the courage to grow there.

Pluto is ruled by Mars (who is still retrograde in Aries till Nov 14th) and the modern ruler is Pluto (who has been causing a ruckus this year).

Add to that Mercury is still retrograde in Scorpio till Nov 3rd.

In short it will be a particularly potent Scorpio season, in keeping with the particularly potent 2020 year.

Harnessing Scorpio…

This cycle is about life – death – rebirth…a cycle we are all experiencing in many ways every day.

It is not as scary as it sounds.

For example, each day dies at night, and is reborn to live another day in the morning. It is the same for night, for each breath, for a month, a year, a decade, a relationship or a way of being.

This is rarely an easy cycle and that is part of the reason Scorpio gets a bad rep, but it is also transformative.

Did you know for a caterpillar to turn into a butterfly it does not merely spin itself into a chrysalis and grow a pair of wings.

It first hatches and gorges until it can gorge no more.

Some instinct tells it to spin itself into a cocoon prison and then it dissolves.

Only to reform entirely into a butterfly.

And still it is not done, once the inner transformation is complete it is cramped and exhausted and now it must break free from its self-imposed prison.

If anyone tries to assist and helps to open the chrysalis from the outside the butterfly will just be a butter, no fly.

Only by struggling to open from the inside will its wings be strong enough to fly.

Yes, it is an inside job all the way.

The sad truth is that all the big transformations are.

After a month in Libra looking at relationships you may not want to face the truth of how lonely many of our processes are.

Here is the exciting news, should you choose to see it that way.

Scorpio is like a surgeon in its precision.

Cutting deep and not afraid to get messy while cutting out the root causes of the dis_ease.

Be it an old way of thinking, an out moded belief system, a physical issue, a toxic relationship this sign takes no prisoners and does not give up till the job is done.

If you dare to dive into this level of healing, see some suggestions below.

Or of course you could book a session with me or any good healer/coach/therapist/astrologer and get some support.

Alone is not so bad if you have support along the way.

Here are some ideas of how to use this energy wisely.

Spotlight Advice

Growing with Scorpio

If you are resonating strongly with this Archetype then I am going to give you a few suggestions.

First to enhance the energy, second to sedate the energy and thirdly to enjoy the energy…lets jump in.

Action Steps

1) Enhancing Scorpio:

This sign is a powerful healer.

Take the time for a healing session or do some self-healing.

Connect with water (swim, bath, shower, foot soak, drink water) to help tune into your emotional needs.

Journal your deep feelings, this will help you to recognize and embody them and hopefully to not strike erroneously.

2) Sedating Scorpio:

Scorpio can be very secretive, so work to unearth and share your secrets rather than isolating too much.

Get grounded and know what you are feeling so you don’t lash out with the wrong people or the wrong amount of force.

This sign has a piercing tongue, which you need to keep in check, things said, cannot be unsaid.

3) Enjoying Scorpio:

Scorpio loves to focus in on a thing, and burrow down till it hits bedrock…choose where to let yourself focus and you can really find your gold.

This is also a sign that is not ashamed to be passionate and to enjoy sex.

So, whether it is self-love or with a partner, enjoy this passionate energy.

Astrology Buzz

Scorpio October 23rd to November 22nd Happy solar returns to those celebrating their birthday in Scorpio.

Sagittarius November 23rd to December 21st A much needed boost of energy and enthusiasm arrives with Sag.

Full Moon was in Taurus on the 31st opposing the Sun in Scorpio.

The Taurus/Scorpio axis has a lot to do with questions around

Material vs Spiritual.

This is likely to be a bit of a shake up of a full moon because Uranus (sudden paradigm shifts, shocks and lightening bolts) was right alongside the moon, opposite the sun in Scorpio.

As with all full moon phases, forgiveness is very powerful now.

Questions you may ask yourself in Taurus/Scorpio;

How can I dive into all my messy feelings and come out more connected to my feelings and spirituality? (if you are Taurus dominant)

How can I relax and enjoy more, through my 5 senses, rather than being so intense? (if you are Scorpio dominant)

What needs to be transformed into something tangible in my life?

What material things need releasing from my life?

If even one of these triggers you on some level, take the time to think about it, journal or meditate on it.

These are powerful tools or self-development.

Please remember I am a guide from the side, you are the sage on your stage.

It is up to you to feel what resonates and remember there are many more ways this lesson may manifest for you than the ones I have mentioned.

And then we have November’s Full Moon on the 30th in the sign of Gemini, and it will be an Eclipse.

From a Blue Moon to an Eclipse.

Yes, folks eclipse season is upon us.

As such I am going to cover it this month too, so you can get a feel for it, and then next month we will look at it again.

We have discussed how eclipses go in seasons and work in partnerships of opposing signs, we are currently looking at Gemini/Sagittarius Eclipse cycle.

Eclipses only happen at Full and New Moon.

So, this Gemini Full Moon will be followed two weeks later by a Sagittarius New Moon.

This is like a Gem/Sag cycle on steroids.

Perfect opportunity to do the inner work with these two archetypes.

This combo is all about Intellect vs Wisdom…what have we been learning, and how can we make wise choices based upon that knowledge.

New Moon: November Dark Moon in on the 15th time to spiral inward with the moon, and do an authentic accounting with ourselves around all the Scorpio traits.

Where do these traits reflect strongly in my life?

How do I feel about that?

How can I strengthen or dilute this in myself?

These types of practices are powerful tools, to help you co-create the life you choose.

Don’t know where to begin? Contact me and I will get you started.

Red Tent is the perfect way for women to reconnect with the wisdom of old, that is our birth right.

Using various tools at our disposal we create a space for you to be held safe while you rest and reflect.

It is a rest from the ‘real world’ and yet it is often hard work to explore our ‘inner world’. Lucky Scorpio loves the deep dive.

The more you grow, the more you can support the growth of the people in your life, rather than inflicting your own wounds unconsciously on them.

This is a process made so much better by having a supportive framework.

Crystal picks for November

Scorpio Theme

Though all of these stones work well for all levels of Scorpio and on many other levels besides, I have given one suggestion per Scorpionic phase. Scorpion – Serpent - Eagle

Malachite is intense, detoxifying and transformative, just like the scorpion.

With its bands and whorls, it allows us to always drop into yet another level and layer of healing and transformation.

Scorpio is less concerned with the grass being greener and more concerned with what is under the grass, and what is under the soil, what is beneath this rock, what is my core made of.

Malachite facilitates this journey, and like Scorpio does not give up till all the answers have been revealed.

Charoite works beautifully for the healing energy of Scorpio, and we see this most strongly in the serpent.

Charoite is deep, sensitive, intuitive and great for analysis on an energetic level.

However, it is also gently stabilizing and grounding, helping to keep you in the ordinary reality of your everyday world.

Hawk’s Eye is a is part of the tiger’s eye family.

Where Tiger’s eye grounds you and helps you to see through the layers from the perspective of the ground, Hawk’s eye helps from the perspective of the sky.

Hence my association with the eagle, Scorpio’s highest expression.

It helps us get a higher perspective, and then to see the big picture.

The real magic happens though when we then use the grounding energy of Hawk’s eye to embody that knowledge and convert it to wisdom.

This is eagle’s specialty.

Aromas of the month

Elevation and Helichrysum are my pics for the month of Scorpio.

Elevation is doTERRA’s proprietary blend, combining lavender, lavandin, tangerine, amyris, ho wood, clary sage, Hawaiian sandalwood, ylang ylang, lemon myrtle, melissa and osmanthus.

I chose this oil to pull us out of the darkness and back into the light.

Scorpio can be a wee bit too intense at times and forget to have fun, count your blessings and be in the moment.

It has an array of benefits.

Some great times to use it; when stressed, anxious or depressed, struggling with grief, in general to uplift moods.

Then we have Helichrysum, often called natures stitches it is so great for skin and wound healing…perfect for Scorpio the surgeon.

Did you know it is native to South Africa?

Another name for it is Immortelle which translates to everlasting.

(it is in doTERRA’s Immortelle blend too).

It is used in so many cosmetic products including doTERRA’s skin range because of its benefits on wrinkles, scars, stretch marks.

Here is a great clip on this oil for those who are wanting a little more. But one thing he does not discuss, and an area I find Helichrysum particularly magical is the internal emotional wound healing…another reason I picked it for the month of Scorpio.

Glowing radiance– add 1-2 drops Helichrysum to your store-bought moisturiser to improve your skin care regime and nurture you on an emotional level at the same time.

Elevate your mood – We will all be needing this, all month. add 4-8 drops of Elevation to a diffuser and let the magic happen.

If you don’t have a diffuser or are out of the house, just 1 drop into your palm, rub hands together and then cup your face and breathe deeply and slowly.

Or add a little to the inside of your mask. Simple, fast and effective.

Improve and Speed up Healing – for scars, wounds, acne scars, stretch marks, age spots, wrinkles and more.

Make a 10 ml roller with rosehip/sweet almond/fractionated coconut oil or whichever carrier oil works best for you and add; 5 drops each of Helichrysum, Lavender, Copaiba, Frankincense (for a change you can supplement Lavender for Geranium) and apply 2 – 6 times daily.

Note: How Fast do Essential oils work?

It takes 22 seconds for the molecules to reach the brain

In 2 minutes, Essential oils will be found in the bloodstream

By 20 minutes they will affect every cell in the body
